Moving Past "Stuckness"
Are you trying to make changes in your life or reach goals that you have set, but find that you feel stuck and can't get motivated? Below are some ideas to help you move past your "stuckness".
1. Predict lapses and setbacks. How might you deal with them if and when they occur? What might trigger the relapse?
2. Reframe failures as challenges and explore them.
3. What would be the next step you need to make. Not all the steps, just the next one.
4. Explore how you are holding yourself back and not why you are. (attitudes, beliefs etc).
5. Look at taking ownership of choices and problems. Where is the opportunity? What is within your control?
6. Recognize how staying stuck is something you are really skillful at doing. How are you so skillful at not moving forward?
7. What is the payoff of staying where you are?
There is a lot of valuable information if you explore your "stuckness" rather than fight it or give up.
